About IUBS
What is IUBS?
IUBS, the Internacional Union of Biological Sciences, established in 1919, is the oldest and major non-governmental and non-profit international scientific organization in the life science field (systems and organisms biology). IUBS is a founding member of ICSU (Internacional Council of Scientific Unions).
IUBS Organization
The membership of IUBS presently consist of 44 Ordinary Members adhering through Academies of Science, National Research Council, national science associations or similar organizations, as well as 80 Scientific Members, all of which are international scientific associations societies or commissions dealing with a wide array of biological disciplines.
